The Roman Forum: A Sunset Spot in Rome

You’re not going to want to miss visiting the Colosseum when you’re in Rome. Did you know, your entry ticket to the Colosseum also includes entry to the Roman Forum? In the Forum, you’ll find Terrazza Belvedere del Palatino (Google Map location linked here,) and from here, you’ll get to see one of the best views in Rome.

This Rome viewpoin is a bit of a climb up steps but it’s worth it! This would be a perfect place to watch the sunset over Rome!

The Monument to Victor Emmanuel II Building: A Unique Hidden Viewpoint

This one is a real hidden gem of Rome. The outside is not well hidden, it is huge and you can’t miss it. However, not everyone knows you can go inside. To make it even better, it’s free! As it’s not so well known, it isn’t as crowded as the rest of Rome which is nice!

Here you’ll get to see amazing panoramic views of Rome, including the Colosseum. There is also a cafe/ restaurant with views over the Colosseum which is a lovely place to stop for a drink and relax.

Pincian Hill Terrace: The Best Panoramic View of Rome

Located just at the edge of Rome’s beautiful park, Villa Borghese, you’ll find Pincian Hill Terrace. This is an incredible panoramic view of Rome form above, this would be another perfect sunset spot!

To get here we walked up quite a steep hill from the centre of Rome. At the top of the hill, is a viewpoint called Terrazza del Pincio (Google Map Location linked here.) Here you will find another one of the best views in Rome.

There are plenty more things to do in the park. It’s a great place to escape the crowds of the city below!
