MAGNETIC EYELASHES REVIEW – ARE THEY AS EASY AS THEY LOOK?

Magnetic Eyelashes Review Feature Image

You girls voted on my Instagram stories for this magnetic eyelashes review so I hope you find it useful!

I’m just an average girl who finds it tricky to put on false eyelashes. After seeing many adverts for magnetic lashes, I decided to give them a go with the hope they would be an absolute gamechanger!

There are two types of magnetic eyelashes. Ones that come in two parts, one sits above and one sits below your real lashes and the magnets hold them together. The other, that I’ll be reviewing today is held on with magnetic eyeliner.

The lashes I tried were THESE from Amazon. They were £10.95 for 5 pairs and also included the applicator and magnetic eyeliner. I got them on Prime day so they were actually further reduced. It says you can use each pair up to 15 times so they’re really affordable which is great.

I also picked up THIS pair of glue on eyelashes from Boots so I could compare them.

So how do the magnetic eyelashes work? Each lash has 5 little magnets on it that should stick to the magnetic particles in the eyeliner.

Using the lashes sounds very straightforward. Just trim the lash to size if needed (without cutting off a magnet). Apply the liner and pop the lash on! I didn’t find it quite that easy. I actually found doing the eyeliner neatly the hardest part. After a few attempts, I got the hang of it.

Magnetic Eyelashes Review – Pros:

  • Really affordable
  • After a bit of practice they go on quite easily.
  • They stayed on all day and didnt feel uncomfortble.

Magnetic Eyelashes Review – Cons:

  • They’re not as easy to apply as the adverts make out.
  • The applicator is metal so the lashes also try to stick to that.
  • You have to have quite a thick line of eyeliner.
  • The eyeliner is difficult to remove.
  • They arent quite as comfortable as the glue on lashes. (In my opinion)

Magnetic Eyelashes Review – The Verdict:

I think these lashes are great value for money. I’m not convinced they’re much easier than applying glue on lashes and they do take a bit of practice but once you get the hang of it they’re not too difficult and stay on well.

The main thing I dislike about the lashes I bought is the eyeliner. I would be very tempted to try THIS set that also comes with a transparent magnetic liner.

Personally, I am going to continue to use the magnetic lashes now I’ve got them. However, I will probably be sticking to buying glue on lashes in the future!

TOP TIP:

I used the metal applicator from the magnetic eyelashes to apply the glue on lashes and it made putting them on much easier!
