New Orleans is one of the most beautiful places we’ve visited during our time in the USA. It may be known for its party scene but there’s also so much culture to be discovered. There are so many Instagrammanle places in New Orleans, that you’re going to be spoiled for choice.
In this guide, I’ll be telling you where to find the most Instagram-worthy spots in New Orleans, I’ve split them into different areas which will hopefully make planning your locations easier for you!

THE MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE PLACES IN NEW ORLEANS – THE FRENCH QUARTER
BEAUTIFUL BALCONIES
You’ll find stunning, ornate balconies on almost every corner of the French Quarter. The most famous being on The Corner of Royal and St Peter Streets, this is quite possibly the most photographed location in New Orleans. I was slightly disappointed by this location but the hanging baskets weren’t in full bloom.
The corner of Saint Louis and Dauphine Streets is my personal favourite. This one is similar but not quite as busy.

JACKSON SQUARE AND ST LOUIS CATHEDRAL
This is a perfect princess Instagram location! This area gets extremely busy, luckily my little one likes to get me up and out early. Plan this as your first stop if you’re looking to take your photos without crowds int he background!
Another great shot featuring the cathedral is on Orleans Street between Royal and Bourbon Streets.
SECRET STREETS IN THE FRENCH QUARTER
I highly recommend you venture off the main touristy streets of the French Quarter. You’ll come across some charming locations which are much quieter but also very picturesque.
The two below were my favourites, I happened to come across them both when taking my son to the playground close by. The second one is one of my all-time most-liked Instagram posts!
1215 Dauphine Street | 923 Barracks Street
OTHER INSTAGRAMMABLE SPOTS IN NEW ORLEANS
CANAL STREET
Sunshine and palm trees what could be more Instagram-worthy? Located right on the edge of the French Quarter, you’ll find Canal Street.
The red streetcar trolleys run up and down here, so if you can time it right, you might get one in the background of your photos!
THE GARDEN DISTRICT
If you’re looking for gorgeous dream houses, The Garden District is the place for you! This is a very aesthetic place for a walk. Of course, this pink Barbie house was at the top of my must-visit list! Their Coach House is located around the corner. (Locations below.)
For any pink, girly Instagram feed, this is a must-visit place.

CITY PARK
City Park is beautiful and there are so many Instagramable photo opportunities here! Personally, I’m a city girl so all the locations I chose reflect this. Of course, there are lots of beautiful nature-inspired backdrops here as well!
Outside the Museum of Art | Victory Avenue, opposite Story Land | The Peristyle
WITH LOVE FROM NOLA SIGN
Even if you’re not taking photos for the gram, taking one here is a great way to remember your trip!
I had to take one with my son who was more interested in trying to dig the plants with his truck than posing for Instagram!
