There are also some incredible views in Rome, I absolutely love cityscape views so in this guide, I’m going to share three amazing viewpoints that you’ll definitely want to check out while you’re in Rome.

THE ROMAN FORUM

You’re not going to want to miss visiting the Colosseum when you’re in Rome. Did you know, your entry ticket to the Colosseum will also include entry to the Roman Forum? In the Forum, you’ll find Terrazza Belvedere del Palatino and from here, you’ll get to see one of the best views in Rome.

This viewpoint is a bit of a climb up steps but it’s worth it! Unfortunately, it is not pushchair/ stroller or wheelchair friendly.

THE MONUMENT TO VICTOR EMMANUEL II BUILDING

This one is a real hidden gem of Rome. The outside is not well hidden, it is huge and you can’t miss it. However, not everyone knows you can go inside. To make it even better, it’s free! As it’s not so well known, it isn’t as crowded as the rest of Rome which is nice!

Here you’ll get to see amazing views all over the city, including the Colosseum. There is also a cafe/ restaurant with views over the Colosseum which is a lovely place to stop for a drink and relax.

VILLA BORGHESE

This is a large park in Rome. To get here we walked up quite a steep hill from the centre of Rome. At the top of the hill, is a viewpoint called Terrazza del Pincio and here you will find another one of the amazing views in Rome.

There are plenty more things to do in the park. It’s a great place to escape the crowds of the city below!
