The Best Prague Photo Spots:

Below, I’m going to share all the beautiful Instagram and photo spots in Prague that you won’t want to miss.

1. Charles Bridge

Quite possibly the most iconic place in all of Prague. This stunning Prague Photo spot offers so many different angles and opportunities for stunning photos.

This bridge gets incredibly crowded. We were walking across at 7:30 am (my kids are EARLY risers) and there were already quite a few people around.

In the centre of the bridge, with Prague Castle in the background, is a fairytale photo spot. However, this area is so full during the day, you can hardly move, so you will have ot be early to get a shot here!

Another great location is the entrance to Charles Bridge (from the Old Town side) is a grand archway and a great photo backdrop. Again, this spot gets extremely busy, so you would have to be here early.

Finally, my favourite photo spot in all of Prague, essentially, behind my head in the second picture, there are some steps. If you stand on these steps, you’ll get an amazing view and hopefully, crop out all the crowds!

2. The Vltava Riverbank

There are opportunities to take photos all along the Vltava River that flows through the centre of Prague. My absolute top photo spot was to the left of the Charles Bridge, on the Old Town side. From here, you’ll get great views of the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle.

This is the perfect place to capture a romantic sunset view across the water, and I especially liked this location when it was lit up at night!

3. Prague Old Town Square

Prague Old Town Square is just stunning. It is classic Cezhian architecture with pastel buildings and cobbled walkways.

This was another early morning for us, and we managed to get photos without the crowds that will be here later in the day!

4. The Astronomical Clock

Another of the most famous sights, and a must-visit Prague photo spot. Located in the Old Town Square is the Astronomical Clock. This unique clock chimes every hour, with a short show on its dials.

Did you know, you can go inside Prague’s Town Hall and the Astronomical Clock Tower? The views from here will also be super Instagrammable! Book tickets here!

5. U Teresa Rooftop Bar

This is a hidden gem in Prague. Located in the Hotel U Prince, which is very close to the Old Town Hall, it offers similar views to the clock tower and a cocktail costs less than the tower’s entry fee!

They have a viewing platform especially designed as one of Prague’s top photo spots for Instagrammers and a bar / restaurant area. Serving delicious food and drinks with panoramic views! They have heaters and fluffy blankets for guests to use, making this spot great all year round.

Unfortunately, the Instagram terrace was closed for renovations when we visited, so I couldn’t get the iconic shot.

6. Cafe Louvre

This is one of the oldest and most aesthetically pleasing Cafes in Prague. The decor is stunning and the food is delicious! I highly recommend you try the hot chocolate. It is the thickest chocolate served with cream on the side!

This is definitely a beautiful photo location.

7. Archer’s Island

The Vltava River runs through the centre of Prague. On the river, there are three islands. Archer’s Island is one of these. From the Island, you’ll be able to see amazing views of the city. It was especially beautiful with the autumnal leaves and a must-visit Prague photo spot.

8. Perníkový Panáček Gingerbread Store

This is the most adorable little store! Pink Instagram locations are always my favourite to find, and this one didn’t disappoint.

If you have a cute pink aesthetic, then this is the perfect place. It’s also a great spot for families, as kids will love the gingerbread characters they sell!

9. Prague Castle

Another of Prague’s most iconic attractions, and another perfect photo spot. Again, there are multiple opportunities to capture perfect photos around the castle.

Firstly, before you enter the castle grounds, you’ll see amazing panoramic views over the city. This is one of the best viewpoints in Prague, so make sure to check it out.

You’ll then see the grand gates, which are another unique photo location!

Inside the castle grounds, you’ll have even more opportunities to take stunning photographs!

The castle grounds are free to visit. If you want to go inside, you can book entry tickets here.

10. The National Museum of Prague

Our final perfect Prague photo spot is the National Museum. The architecture of the building itself is stunning, and the inside is just as grand.

When we visited, there was a lot of construction outside the front of the museum, making it difficult to take photos there. It was also very crowded inside (we visited on one of the few free entry days, which made it especially busy).

But if you can get a clear shot, this would be the perfect Instagram photo location! You can book entry tickets to the National Museum here.
