THE BEST TROUSERS FOR SPRING AND HOW TO STYLE THEM

TROUSERS UNDER £20 AND STILL SO CHIC

Living in the city has made me more intentional with my fashion purchases. When you’re sacrificing space for location, you need to make sure everything in your wardrobe is stylish, functional and can be worn in multiple ways. These tick all the boxes. I have found the best trousers for spring and I’ll be showing you how to style them.

Usually, I’m a skirt or dress kind of girl. I recently tried these trousers and they have quickly become my ‘mum’ uniform. They’re perfect for spring days when it isn’t warm enough for a summer dress (which, unfortunately, is most days in London!) Also, they’re very practical for running after two little kids.

I firmly believe you can still be stylish as a mum, so below are multiple ways to wear these trousers for spring.

STYLING YOUR NEW TROUSERS FOR SPRING

These look so stylish as they are a straight, tapered cut and ankle length. You can’t tell when they’re on but the waist is slightly elasticated, meaning you get a great fit. They come in multiple colour options but I think this little beige check print is so sophisticated and looks much more expensive than £17.99!

For reference, I’m usually a UK size 8-10. I got these in s a 10 and they’re the perfect fit. So size up if you’re in between sizes.

All these looks can be mixed and matched with each other as well! Where my exact item is no longer available, I’ve linked similar.

CASUAL TROUSERS FOR SPRING

This is my go-to mum look. It’s perfect and comfortable for day-to-day, the playground, the farm and general mum activities. A simple blouse, tucked in and a pair of comfy mules. I got these in the Reiss sale years ago and they’re still going strong.

I love a cross-body bag as it allows me to keep my valuables close and still have my hands free. Just add a leather jacket on cooler days, I haven’t found one I liked recently so I got this one on Vinted for a bargain £5.

SMART CASUAL TROUSERS FOR SPRING

This is my favourite look and I’ve been wearing it on repeat! A feminine floral blouse in a muted print is so feminine and also cute. On cooler days, I’ll add this cardigan. A shorter fit is much more feminine and also flattering as it still shows your waistline.

As we live in London, it’s often cold in spring. Sometimes I even layer on a trench coat for extra warmth.

SMART TROUSERS FOR SPRING

This look would be perfect for all working mums. I’m a stay-at-home mum but I do like to dress up sometimes, just for fun!

By adding a luxury bag and some low heels, your outfit will automatically look so much more chic and expensive!

Again, the trench coat is perfect to finish off this look.
