This post is a guide to some stylish ways to be more environmentally friendly. These are all really easy changes you can make that will actually save you money in the long run!
Since moving to New York, I have been constantly mesmerised by the magic of this city. However, I have been shocked at the amount of waste there is here! I’m sure we also had a lot of rubbish in England as well but here, you really see it. Literally piled up in the street. That’s what inspired me to write this post.

STOP USING PLASTIC BAGS
I’ve been using reusable bags long before they started charging for them. A pretty bag is just so much more stylish than an ugly plastic one!

Like shopping bags, this is an easy switch. I actually think these work better than throw away makeup wipes! I also use them for my cleanser and toner.

I was recently gifted two reusable bottles. One for water and an insulated one for tea or coffee. I now always take them on a day out rather than buying. This is not only much better for the environment but also a big money saver!

CUT OUT PAPER TOWELS
I never use paper towels or kitchen rolls anymore. Since having my little boy, we switched to muslin cloths. They’re great for cleaning up spills or for wiping sticky fingers. Obviously, they are mainly aimed at babies but that doesn’t mean they can’t still be stylish!

STOP USING CLINGFILM
Clingfilm is another wasteful product that’s so easy to replace. I store any leftover food in leftovers in cute little tubs and wrap things in this adorable beeswax paper.
