Just a two hour drive away and your in the beautiful British countryside.

It felt so wholesome and worked out much less expensive than flying abroad, even with car hire!

📍 Governors Island - Our absolute favourite.
Perfect for biking, playgrounds, skyline views, and letting kids run around freely away from the Manhattan crowds.
📍 DUMBO, Brooklyn - The most iconic.
One of our favourite NYC neighbourhoods for families — waterfront walks, Jane’s Carousel, pizza, parks, and those iconic bridge views.
📍 Long Island City - A hidden gem.
So underrated for family travel. Amazing parks, incredible Manhattan skyline views, relaxed cafés and breweries with a much calmer than central Manhattan.

Honestly, some of our favourite New York memories happened outside the main tourist areas.
