Are you looking to switch to a natural deodorant and looking for an honest Wild Deodorant review? With its stylish refillable case, wide range of scents and eco-friendly credentials, it’s become one of the most popular aluminium-free deodorants in the UK. But does it actually work?
Over the past couple of years, I’ve been gradually swapping my everyday household and personal care products for more eco-friendly alternatives. From natural cleaning products to sustainable toiletries, I’m always looking for products that are kinder to the planet and our health without compromising on performance.
Wild is the third natural deodorant I’ve tried, and after not having the best experience with some other brands, I was keen to see whether it lived up to the hype or if it would be disappointing. I’ve been using it for several months now, so this review is based on real, everyday use.
In this detailed Wild deodorant review, I’ll share exactly what I think, including the pros and cons, how well it controls odour, whether the refill system is worth it, and if I’d recommend it to anyone thinking of making the switch.

What is Wild Deodorant?
Wild is a refillable, natural deodorant brand that aims to make your daily routine more sustainable. Instead of throwing away a plastic deodorant bottle every month, you simply keep the reusable aluminium case and replace the eco-friendly deodorant refill when it runs out.
The deodorant is free from aluminium salts, parabens and sulphates, making it a popular choice for anyone looking to switch to a more natural deodorant. Rather than blocking your sweat glands like traditional antiperspirants, Wild allows your body to sweat naturally while helping to neutralise odour with carefully selected ingredients.
One of the things that initially attracted me to Wild was the combination of sustainability and design. The colourful reusable cases look far more premium than a standard deodorant, and with dozens of fragrances to choose from, including seasonal limited editions, there’s something to suit everyone’s taste.
For anyone trying to reduce single-use plastic or make more environmentally-friendly swaps around the home, Wild offers a simple alternative to traditional disposable deodorants.

Why I Switched to Wild
Over the past few years, I’ve been making a conscious effort to switch to more natural and sustainable products wherever possible. I want to be more mindful about what I’m putting on my body, while also reducing the amount of plastic waste my family produces. Finding products that are both effective and environmentally friendly has become a bit of a mission.
The first natural deodorant I tried was Fussy. Read my full Fussy review here. I’d seen it recommended on countless blogs and social media posts, so naturally, it was the first brand I decided to try.
I loved the idea of its refillable design and was really hoping it would be the answer, but unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me. I found that it wasn’t effective and also left grey marks on my white tops.
Next, I tried Mitchum Natural Power Gel Cream. Performance-wise, I actually got on much better with it. The only downside was that it still came in a disposable plastic tube, so it didn’t quite fit with my goal of reducing plastic waste.
So next, I tried Wild. I decided to initially purchase their mini travel stick to test it out before purchasing the full natural stick deodorant and aluminium case. It was my plan to buy the full version myself, but Wild kindly gifted it to me.
After using Wild for several months, I finally feel like I’ve found the right balance between effectiveness, convenience and sustainability. In this detailed Wild deodorant review, I’ll explain exactly why. WIf you would like to try Wild for youself, you can use my Wild discount code WDALEXMILLS for 20% off!

My Honest Wild Deodorant Review
As I mentioned, I am a fan of Wild Deodorant. In this section, I will share more details, with a detailed review of Wild’s natural deodorant, including the design, scents, price, and, most importantly, whether it actually works.
Wild’s Packaging and Design
Everything from Wild arrives in recyclable, plastic-free packaging, which immediately reinforces the brand’s eco-friendly credentials.
The reusable aluminium case feels well-made and has a premium finish. One thing I particularly like is its size. Compared to Fussy, the Wild case is slightly smaller, making it easier to hold and more convenient to pack when travelling. As someone who travels regularly, I really appreciate products that don’t take up unnecessary space.
Wild also offers a huge range of case colours and limited-edition designs, so you can choose something that suits your style. Whether you prefer a classic neutral shade, brighter colour or fun print, there’s something to suit everyone’s taste.
Overall, I think Wild has struck a great balance between practicality, aesthetics and sustainability.
Application & Scents
One of the great things about Wild is the choice of fragrances. There are around 15 scents to choose from, and occasionally more l limited-edition releases. Most of the fragrances are floral, fruity or fresh, although there are a few richer or more unisex options too.
So far, I’ve tried three different scents (fresh cotton & sea salt, cherry blossom and coconut & vanilla). While none of them has an overpowering scent, I have genuinely liked all of them, and I would happily buy them again. The fragrances smell fresh without being too strong, and I find they last well throughout the day.
Applying the deodorant is simple when you know how. You have to remove the base of the case and then just pop it in. Initially, I thought you just took off the lid and insereded it in the top.
I only need a couple of swipes under each arm, and it doesn’t feel greasy or uncomfortable after applying. The only small downside I’ve noticed is that it can occasionally leave a slight white residue under my arms.
Overall, I think Wild strikes a good balance between practicality and enjoyment. The refill system is easy to use, the scents are lovely, and it feels much more like using a premium personal care product than many other natural deodorants I’ve tried.

Does Wild Deodorant Actually Work?
The most important section of this review, is if it actually does the job. For me, the simple answer is yes.
After trying Fussy’s version, I did wonder is this was a natural switch that just wouldn’t work for me. Thankfully, Wild completely changed my opinion.
It’s important to note that Wild is a deodorant rather than an antiperspirant, so it doesn’t stop you from sweating. Instead, it’s designed to neutralise odour while allowing your body to sweat naturally. If you’re switching from a traditional antiperspirant, apparently, it can take a little time to adjust.
What impressed me most was how well it kept body odour at bay throughout the day. Whether I was working from home, out with the children, or hiking in the Amalfi Coast, I felt confident that it was doing its job. I didn’t find myself needing to reapply during the day, which had been an issue with other natural deodorants I’d tried.
I’ve now been using Wild for several months and can honestly say it’s the first natural deodorant I’ve found that I’m genuinely happy to stick with long-term. It gives me the confidence I’d expect from a conventional deodorant while helping me reduce my plastic waste at the same time.
Of course, everyone’s body chemistry is different, and no deodorant works perfectly for everyone. I know a lot of people prefer Fussy, but based on my own experience, Wild has been by far the most effective natural deodorant I’ve used. How Does the Price Compare?
At first glance, Wild can seem more expensive than picking up a standard deodorant from the supermarket. However, overall, they are slightly cheaper than Fussy (excluding offers and promotions).
The initial starter pack costs more because you’re buying both the reusable aluminium case and your first refill. It’s best to check the website for exact prices, as they offer discounts if you purchase multiple items and also if you subscribe. You can also use my code WDALEXMILLS for an additional 20% off!
However, after that initial purchase, you only need to buy refill packs, which makes the ongoing cost much more reasonable. I didn’t subscribe, but if you choose this option, refills are delivered automatically, and you can adjust, skip or cancel deliveries whenever you need to. You can also get refills in most supermarkets and drugstores.
Personally, I think the price is justified. The deodorant works well for me, the refillable system helps reduce plastic waste, and the quality of both the product and the packaging feels noticeably more premium than many high street alternatives.
Of course, there are cheaper deodorants available, especially if price is your only consideration. But if you’re looking for an effective natural deodorant that also has strong eco-friendly credentials, I think Wild offers good value for money.
I’d certainly rather pay a little more for a product that I know works than waste money buying cheaper natural deodorants that end up sitting unused in the bathroom cupboard.

Would I Recommend Wild?
Yes, absolutely. After trying several natural deodorants, Wild is the one I’ve been happiest with and the one I’ll continue buying myself. It strikes the right balance between effectiveness, sustainability and ease of use, which isn’t something I’ve found with every natural deodorant I’ve tested.
For me, the biggest selling point is that it actually works. I no longer feel like I’m compromising on performance in order to make a more eco-friendly choice, and that’s exactly what I was hoping to find when I started switching to natural personal care products.
I also love the refillable design, the wide choice of fragrances and the premium feel of the aluminium case. While it is a little more expensive than a traditional supermarket deodorant, I think it’s well worth the extra cost if you’re looking for an aluminium-free natural deodorant that delivers on its promises. (Honestly, I was shocked that aluminium was an ingredient in deodorants!)
No product is perfect, and what works for one person may not work for another. However, based on my own experience, I’d happily recommend Wild to friends and family, and I can see it remaining a permanent part of my daily routine.
If you’ve been thinking about making the switch to a natural deodorant, Wild is the one I’d suggest trying first. Dont forget to use my code WDALEXMILLS for 20% off.

FAQ’s About Wild Deodorant
In my opinion, yes. I’ve tried three different natural deodorants, and Wild is by far my favourite. It’s the first one I’ve found that combines effective odour protection with a refillable, eco-friendly design, and it’s the only one I’ve continued using long-term. While everyone’s body chemistry is different, Wild has worked extremely well for me.
I think Wild has become so popular because it offers a combination that’s quite hard to find. It’s an effective natural deodorant that comes in a stylish, reusable case. They have a wide choice of fragrances and help reduce single-use plastic through their refill system.
Many people choose aluminium-free deodorants because they prefer more natural personal care products or want to avoid the aluminium salts used in traditional antiperspirants. Although there is currently no strong scientific evidence that aluminium in antiperspirants causes health problems, some people feel more comfortable avoiding it where possible.
For me, switching to an aluminium-free deodorant was part of a wider effort to make more natural choices and reduce my exposure to unnecessary chemicals where practical. Since Wild works so well for me, I don’t feel like I’m making any compromise by choosing an aluminium-free option.
No. Wild is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant, so it won’t stop you sweating. Instead, it helps neutralise odour while allowing your body to sweat naturally. Wild have recently launched a roll-on antiperspirant, which is meant to stop sweat, although I haven’t tried it personally.

Final Thoughts for this Wild Deodorant Review
Overall, I’ve been really impressed with Wild and can confidently say it’s the best natural deodorant I’ve tried. For me, it’s a natural formula that performs well. The refillable design helps reduce plastic waste, and I love the range of scents and the stylish reusable case. Most importantly, it’s a product that actually works for me, so I plan to continue using it for the foreseeable future.
That said, deodorant is a very personal product, and everybody is different. I know plenty of people who love Fussy, even though it wasn’t the right fit for me. If one natural deodorant doesn’t work for you, don’t assume they all perform the same. My experience with Wild has been completely different.
If you’re unsure, I would recommend trying the mini travel stick first to avoid the cost of the case.
If you’re looking for an effective, eco-friendly and aluminium-free deodorant, I think Wild is well worth trying. It’s become a permanent part of my daily routine, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone thinking about making the switch. Don’t forget to use my code WDALEXMILLS for 20% off your order!
Thank you so much for reading my Wild deodorant review. I hope it has helped you to know if Wild is right for you!
